We created this tournament in 2016 to help the lowcountry golf teams of South Carolina and Georgia have a chance to play tournament golf without having to travel all over the state.

In 2021 the tournament shifted from just being an opportunity to support junior golf to an opportunity to help defeat childhood cancer. Over the years the tournament has raised thousands of dollars for CURE Childhood Cancer.

The Lowcountry Invitational aims to create an excellent tournament on exceptional courses with passion golf programs. In the first seven years more than 100 college golfers have played in the tournament.

Every team invited to play participates in raising money for CURE Childhood Cancer. The team that raises the most money will receive automatic invitation to the 2027 tournament and prizes. We do this to support childhood cancer, but also to help junior golfers see that there is so much more to life than just golf.
